[:it]PastActivity è un’associazione culturale siciliana nata nel 2016 dall’idea e grazie all’impegno di due archeologi, Laura e Giovanni che si sono avvalsi della collaborazione esterna di una collega, Claudia.
Gli obiettivi principali che l’associazione PastAcitivity si ripropone sono la valorizzazione del territorio siculo e la riscoperta del maestoso patrimonio culturale attraverso eventi ed attività per favorire così una migliore conoscenza del passato e delle tradizioni dell’isola.
Il primo grande evento di rievocazione storica in Sicilia si terrà presso la Valle dei Templi di Agrigento il 6 e 7 maggio 2017. Tutti coloro che prenderanno parte all’iniziativa potranno rivivere l’atmosfera che si respirava ad Akragas nel III sec. a.C. quando la città era contesa tra i Romani e i Cartaginesi, partecipando alle numerose attività previste dal programma.
Incuriositi da questo progetto, abbiamo rivolto alcune domande ad uno dei due archeologi fondatori di PastActivity, Laura Danile.
Come è nata l’idea?
L’idea è nata dall’intento di organizzare qualcosa di nuovo in Sicilia che potesse richiamare molta gente dentro una delle aree archeologiche più belle dell’isola e soprattutto rivolgersi a un pubblico nuovo e diverso da quello consueto. In particolare vorremmo coinvolgere i millennials che sono quelli che meno frequentano l’area.
Hai incontrato difficoltà (burocratiche o emotive) nel tuo cammino, soprattutto considerando l’importanza della location scelta e le modalità di svolgimento del progetto stesso?
Non vi nascondo che il progetto è complesso e ambizioso e che un po’ ci spaventa ma abbiamo
avuto sempre riscontri positivi e piena disponibilità da parte dell’Ente ospitante che è il nostro main partner e ci ha aperto le porte e fornito tutto il sostegno di cui abbiamo bisogno. Poi abbiamo creato una rete di professionisti che, ciascuno per il suo settore di competenza, collaborano con grande entusiasmo e si sono lasciati coinvolgere a 360 gradi anche su altri aspetti non strettamente tecnici. Direi che finora tutto è filato liscio anche se ancora la strada è tutta in salita.

Qual è il fine della vostra iniziativa?
Contribuire a rafforzare il legame tra la collettività e i luoghi della cultura, consentire che siano percepiti come luoghi da vivere, da scoprire, da riscoprire, nei quali emozionarsi, divertirsi, incontrarsi, e perché no, creare un nuovo margine di lavoro per i giovani professionisti del territorio. Il lavoro la nostra generazione deve inventarselo con coraggio.
Pensate di riproporre esperienze del genere nel prossimo futuro?
Certo, speriamo di si.
La vostra organizzazione esalta una ben nota eccellenza siciliana e ciò è pienamente in linea con l’obiettivo di Sicily & Sicilians, allo stesso tempo coinvolge numerosi giovani; come pensate che questi due fattori possano essere combinati per la promozione della nostra Terra?
Siamo pienamente convinti che questi fattori siano la forza della nostra terra, ricca di storia, cultura, fascino che chi ci vive e la ama può trasmettere ai viaggiatori. I giovani, come noi, devono crederci e impegnarsi per questo, mettere a frutto le loro competenze per promuovere questa terra meravigliosa.

The main objectives that the association intends PastAcitivity are the enhancement of the Sicilian territory and the rediscovery of the majestic cultural heritage through events and activities to promote so a better understanding of the past and the traditions of Sardinia.
The first major event of historical reenactment in Sicily will be held at the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento on 6 and 7 May 2017. All those taking part in the initiative will be able to relive the atmosphere that reigned at Akragas in the third century. B.C. when the city was fought over by the Romans and the Carthaginians, by participating in the many activities under the program.
Intrigued by this project, we asked some questions to one of the two founders of archaeologists PastActivity, Laura Danile.
How did the idea?
The idea was born by the desire to organize something new in Sicily that could draw a lot of people in one of the most beautiful archaeological areas of the island and especially turn to a new and different audience than usual. In particular, we would like to engage millennials which are those that less frequent the area.
Have you encountered difficulties (bureaucratic or emotional) in your path, especially considering the importance of the choice of location and the modalities of the project itself?
I will not conceal that the project is complex and ambitious and a little ‘scare us but we have photos Pastactivity group always had positive feedback and full availability by the host Entity which is our main partner and opened doors and provided all the support we need. Then we created a network of professionals who, each in his field of expertise, work with great enthusiasm and got themselves involved 360 degrees on other aspects not strictly technical. I would say that so far everything went smoothly even if the road is still uphill all the way.

What is the purpose of your initiative?
Helping to strengthen the link between the community and places of culture, enabling them to be perceived as places to live, to discover, to rediscover, in which excited, have fun, meet, and why not, create a new business margin for young professionals of the territory. The work our generation has to invent it with courage.
Do you plan to repeat such experiences in the near future?
Sure we hope so.
Your organization brings a well-known Sicilian excellence and this is fully in line with the objective of Sicily and Sicilians, at the same time involves a number of young people; how do you think that these two factors can be combined for the promotion of our Earth?
We are fully convinced that these factors are the strength of our land, rich in history, culture, charm those who live there and love can pass on to travelers. Young people, like us, have to believe and commit to this, build on their skills to promote this wonderful land.
