[:it]Polline Art è un progetto made in Sicily creato da due giovanissimi con la passione per l’arte e per il mondo del web.
Il progetto è un servizio pensato per ogni artista, dal più adulto al più giovane, che con poco sforzo sia economico che di tempo, può caricare le sue opere sulla piattaforma. In questo modo ognuno può tutelare il suo diritto d’autore ed evitare così diffusioni illecite dei suoi lavori.
Incuriositi, abbiamo rivolto alcune domande ad Amalia, una dei fondatori di Polline Art.
Chi sei e come è nata l’idea per Polline Art?
Mi chiamo Amalia, ho 22 anni e da sempre nutro la passione per la scrittura, la lettura, il marketing, l’arte e il mondo del web.
L’idea di Polline è arrivata due anni fa mentre mi trovavo con Fabrizio a spasso dentro Farm Cultural Park, un centro culturale di nuova generazione nato nel cuore di Favara, in Sicilia. Chiacchierando con artisti, notammo il forte timore di diffusioni illecite delle loro opere sul web. Da lì il suggerimento di utilizzare la blockchain per garantire la propria paternità.
Descrivi il vostro progetto.
Il progetto Polline è oggi un servizio pensato su misura per ogni artista di vecchia e nuova generazione che decide di prendersi cura delle proprie creazioni. È stato pensato, progettato e realizzato insieme agli artisti; grazie al loro contributo ed ai loro consigli è venuto fuori un progetto semplice, immediato ed economico. Gli artisti che decidono di utilizzare Polline per tutelare il proprio diritto d’autore dei loro lavori spendono in media cinque minuti del loro tempo e con pochi euro il gioco è fatto.
Quali sono i vostri obiettivi per l’immediato futuro?
Penso che tra i nostri obiettivi ci sia quello di crescere in maniera vertiginosa. In questi giorni stiamo lavorando all’automatizzazione di alcuni processi, questo ci consentirà di lavorare più velocemente e di soddisfare in minor tempo le richieste degli artisti che fanno parte di Polline Art.
Dove vi aspettate di essere tra 3 anni?
Il progetto porta un nome importante. Si chiama Polline perché con la stessa leggerezza e naturalezza auspica a far arrivare le opere d’arte ovunque e con estrema sicurezza per l’autore. Forse potrei rispondere che mi aspetto di essere ovunque, come il polline.
Arte ed innovazione: per molti sembrerebbe uno strano binomio. Ci potreste spiegare meglio come lo intendete voi?
Abbiamo sempre visto l’innovazione insieme alla tecnologia come strumenti che risolvono problemi. Gli artisti ci hanno svelato qualcosa che impediva loro di trasferire cultura mediante uno strumento assolutamente contemporaneo: Internet. Questo per noi non era e non è accettabile. Senza innovazione Polline non ci sarebbe, le opere degli artisti non sarebbero al sicuro e così sia gli artisti che gli appassionati d’arte sarebbero meno contenti per diversi motivi.
E di contro, Sicilia e innovazione, spesso sembra un binomio impossibile. Cosa manca secondo voi affinché la Sicilia possa essere al passo con altre regioni d’Italia più all’avanguardia?
A volte accostare il concetto di innovazione alla Sicilia fa storcere il naso è vero. Eppure abbiamo molti esempi di progetti innovativi nati e cresciuti proprio in Sicilia. Il nostro progetto muovendosi e vivendo online ha avuto meno difficoltà per allinearsi con le altre realtà. Ad ogni modo anche se sembrerà un gran cliché, confido tanto nei ragazzi della nostra età, la faranno loro la rivoluzione. Con fatica, ma la faranno.
Così come Sicily & Sicilians, anche Polline Art è dedicata e pensata ai giovani artisti emergenti. Cosa consigliate ai giovani che vogliono affermarsi nel mondo dell’arte e che purtroppo incontrano svariate difficoltà, soprattutto in Sicilia?
L’unico consiglio che mi sento di dare è…viaggiate! Consiglio caldamente per chi ne ha la possibilità di girare il mondo in lungo ed in largo. Così saranno in grado di conoscere molta gente, di stringere relazioni con diverse figure professionali. Consiglio loro di parlare a lungo con tutti, di ascoltare i consigli, anche quelli più banali. Guarderanno invece di vedere, ascolteranno invece di sentire. Consiglio loro di bruciare le tappe e di correre, di sbagliare frequentemente, di studiare svariate cose anche fuori dal settore d’interesse. La vita è un continuo pedalare, si deve andare spediti verso il tutto e poi raccogliere.

Intrigued, we asked some questions to Amalia, one of the founders of Art Pollen.
Who are you and how did the idea for Art Pollen?
My name is Amalia, I’m 22 years old and I have always been a passion for writing, reading, marketing, art and the world of the web.
The idea of Pollen came two years ago when I was with Fabrizio for a walk in Farm Cultural Park, a new generation cultural center was born in the heart of Favara, Sicily. While chatting with the artists, we noticed the strong fear of illicit circulation of their works on the web. From there the suggestion to use the blockchain to ensure their paternity.
Describe your project.
The Pollen project is now a service tailor made for each of the old and new generation artist who decides to take care of their own creations. It was conceived, designed and implemented together with the artists; Thanks to their efforts and their recommendations came out a simple project, immediate and economical. The artists who decide to use pollen to protect its copyright of their work spend an average of five minutes of their time and with few euro’s it.
What are your goals for the immediate future?
I think that among our objectives there is that of growing clout. These days we are working on automating some processes, this will allow us to work faster and in less time to meet the demands of the artists who are part of Pollen Art.
Where do you expect to be in 3 years?
The project carries a big name. It’s called Pollen because with the same lightness and naturalness in hopes to get works of art everywhere and with extreme security for the author. Perhaps I could answer that I expect to be anywhere, such as pollen.
Art and innovation for many would seem a strange combination. You might better explain how you understand it?
We have always seen innovation combining technology as tools that solve problems. The artists we have uncovered something that prevented them from transferring culture through a very contemporary tool: the Internet. This for us was not and is not acceptable. Pollen Without innovation there would be, the works of artists would not be safe, and so both the artists and art lovers would be less happy for several reasons.
And conversely, Sicily and innovation, often seems an impossible combination. What’s missing in your opinion so that Sicily can to keep up with other more advanced regions of Italy?
Sometimes pull the concept of innovation to Sicily does turn up their nose is true. Yet we have many examples of innovative projects born and raised in Sicily. Our project moving and living online has had less difficulty to align with other realities. However, even if it seems a big cliché, I trust so much in boys of our age, they will make their revolution. With hard work, but they will.
As well as Sicily and Sicilians, even Pollen Art is dedicated and designed for young emerging artists. What do you recommend to young people seeking success in the art world and that unfortunately encounter various difficulties, especially in Sicily?
The only advice I can give is … traveling! I highly recommend for those who have the opportunity to travel the world far and wide. So they will be able to know a lot of people, to forge relationships with various professionals. I board them to speak at length with everyone, to listen to advice, even the most trivial. They will look instead to see, listen instead of hearing. Their Board of forge ahead and run, to make mistakes frequently, to study various things even outside the area of interest. Life is a continuous cycle, you must go shipped to everything and then collect.
