[:it]Mari Giuntini è una pittrice emergente siciliana che nasce a Siracusa nel 1987. Qui frequenta l’Istituto d’arte e in seguito si laurea in Pittura all’ABA di Firenze con la tesi “La cecità del segno”, approfondendo temi legati al corpo come presenza, intenzionalità, estensione che rischia i propri confini senza perderli realmente, esprimendosi esattamente nell’istante che precede l’abbandono.

Dopo la tesi svolge attività di collaborazione tecnica presso l’ABA di Firenze per progetti di public art e insegna in Accademie private. Vive un periodo a Berlino e sviluppa un lavoro sul processo di proiezione interno-esterno, sulle dinamiche relazionali sé/altro da sé/mondo. Considera il movimento come una metafora per l’uomo che sperimenta una continua evoluzione nel processo stesso della vita. Percepisce l’essere umano nel suo costante essere “alla ricerca di” ed è proprio in questo costante cercare-cercarsi tra le cose del mondo che riconosce all’uomo la possibilità di essere.
L’artista é anche insegnante di Yoga e Presidente dell’Associazione Fucine Arte Contaminazione, che opera nel settore culturale di studio, pratica e diffusione dell’arte e promuove lo scambio tra discipline. Nell’ultimo anno sta lavorando ad alcune pratiche performative che uniscono l’esperienza yogica e quella artistica, una sorta di meditazione in movimento che conduce al centro di sé. Tutto il suo lavoro é concepito come progetto in divenire, che trae le sue fondamenta da una nuova idea di esperienza in cui, nell’incessante rapporto di scambio, a mutare (ed a “maturare”) è il senso più profondo dell’essere umano.

Il lavoro dell’artista investe il concetto di identità “fluida”, accogliente delle contraddizioni e generatrice di quel movimento che è la vita. L’opera riflette sull’incognita del presente, del qui e ora non (pre)definito ma costantemente in-definizione, consapevole dell’esperienza umana come unicum irripetibile. Nulla è stabile ma tutto è revocabile, transitorio, fugace, effimero. La natura umana è un sistema vivente, immenso e enormemente complesso, in cui ogni cosa è connessa con qualsiasi altra. Ogni singola, infinitesimale, particella umana è parte costituente di un sistema e l’essenza stessa della vita dell’uomo è proprio in quel connaturato processo di tessitura dinamica che genera situazioni, esperienze ed emozioni. Questa complessa imprescindibilità relazionale e la sua intrinseca velocità di sviluppo determinano il livello massimo di estensione e di espressione umana. L’uomo tende e necessita, non solo dell’altro e del mondo, ma del processo stesso che lo porta verso l’altro e il mondo, in un continuo dispiegamento esistenziale.

 [:en]Mari Giuntini is an emerging Sicilian painter who was born in Siracusa in 1987. Here she attended the Institute of Art and later she graduated in Painting at the ABA of Florence with the thesis “The Blindness of the Sign”, extending themes related to the body as presence, intentionality, extension that risks their borders without actually losing them, expressing exactly at the instant before the abandonment.

After the thesis she does a technical collaboration with the ABA in Florence for public art projects and teaches in private academies. Then, she lived in Berlin where she developed work on the internal-external projection process, self-relational self-interest dynamics. Consider movement as a metaphor for man who experiences a continuous evolution in the very process of life. She perceives indeed the human being in his constant being “in search of” and it is in this constant search-seeking among the things of the world that the artist recognizes man’s ability to be.
The artist is also a teacher of Yoga and President of the Associazione Fucine Arte Contaminazione, which works in the cultural field of study, practice and dissemination of art and promotes the exchange of disciplines. In the last year she has been working on some performative practices that combine yogic and artistic experience, a kind of meditation on the move that leads to the heart of himself. All his work is conceived as a project into becoming, which draws its foundations from a new idea of experience in which, in the ever-changing relationship of exchange, to change (and to “mature”) is the deeper meaning of the human being.

The work of the artist invests the concept of “fluid” identity, welcoming the contradictions and of that generating movement that is life. The work reflects on the unknownness of the present, here and now not (pre) defined but constantly in-definition, conscious of human experience as unicum unicum. Nothing is stable but everything is revocable, transient, fleeting, ephemeral. Human nature is a living, immense and enormously complex system, in which everything is related to anything else. Every single, infinitesimal, human particle is a constituent part of a system and the very essence of man’s life is precisely in that complex process of dynamic weaving that generates situations, experiences and emotions. This complex relational impersonality and intrinsic development speed determine the maximum level of human extension and expression. Man tends and needs, not only of the other and the world, but of the process itself that leads to the other and the world, in a continuous existential deployment.
